DOPS offers PhD scholarship in Multi-Criteria Optimisation and Artificial Intelligence for Energy Communities

Job Description:

The Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) is looking for a PhD candidate to work on the project Multicriteria Optimization and Artificial Intelligence for the Design and Operation of Energy Communities (OptIAComE). The aim of this project is to develop cutting-edge solutions to optimise both the design and operational strategies of energy communities. Leveraging advanced artificial intelligence methods and multi-criteria optimisation techniques, we aim to create smart, sustainable and efficient energy systems that maximise the use of resources, minimise costs and seamlessly integrate renewable energy sources.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Motivation to conduct research in energy sustainability.
• Motivation and knowledge in the field of renewable energy, artificial intelligence, and optimization. If you lack experience in these three areas, we will support you with complementary training.
