Laia Ferrer Martí

Laia Ferrer Martí is a senior professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering and at the Institute of Industrial and Control Engineering of the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC). She is a Doctor and Industrial Engineer from the UPC. Her research focuses on the development and application of Quantitative Methods to design and optimize systems with a practical and social orientation. In terms of areas, she has worked mainly in transport and industrial logistics, renewable energy electrification systems and social distribution of food. She has participated in several national research projects, being in some leading researcher, has directed several doctoral theses and has published numerous articles in prestigious indexed international journals.
