Andrés Felipe Porto Solano

Andrés Felipe Porto Solano holds a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad del Norte, and a PhD in Supply Chain and Operations Management from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). He has completed his doctoral studies under the title ‘Addressing seasonal and uncertain demand in service companies through a triple labor flexibility strategy based on multiskilling, annualized hours, and overtime’, obtaining the mention ‘Cum Laude’. His research activity, as a collaborator at the Institute of Organisation and Control of Industrial Systems, focuses on the development and application of quantitative techniques for solving problems in logistics systems planning and personnel management. He currently teaches subjects oriented to management, statistics and quantitative methods in logistics and production. He has participated in several publicly and privately funded research projects, and has authored or co-authored several book chapters and articles published in high impact journals.
