Alberto García Villoria
Alberto García Villoria is a tenured professor at the Department of Management of the Technical University of Catalalonia (UPC). He is a computer engineer and PhD from the UPC. His doctoral thesis focused on the study of the sequencing of units in production or assembly lines in which several models are produced simultaneously. Since 2007 he has been a professor at that university where he carries out his teaching and research activities on organizational problems and algorithmic and mathematical techniques for solving them. His research has been published in several prestigious international journals.
He has participated in several national R&D projects: among others, on work planning, and design and balanced lines. He has also collaborated in contracts with companies for: the planning and management of schedules (Rational Time, Tibidabo Amusement Park), programming of tasks in equipment (Electrical Applications), study of waiting times in ticket offices and a cinema bar (Cinesa) and design of commercial routes (Valoris Iberia).
