Project description

The general objective of this research project is to optimize the design and efficiency of autonomous rural electrification systems powered by renewable energy through the development of models and support tools for decision making. Specifically, this project is based on the use of solar and wind energy and the combination of individual generators and microgrids for the design of electrification systems in both developed and developing countries. In all cases, the design is particularized to the conditions and characteristics of both future users and companies or other institutions promoting the project, ensuring that the solutions obtained are successful and sustainable in the medium-long term.
