DOPS-UPC Research Group Participates in SMARTGREENS 2026 International Conference.
May 20, 2026
The DOPS-UPC research group participated in the 15th International Conference on Smart Cities and Green ICT Systems (SMARTGREENS 2026),
held in Benidorm (Spain) on May 18–19, 2026. This international conference brings together researchers and practitioners working in the fields of energy systems, smart cities, and sustainable technologies.
The group's participation is aligned with its research activities in optimization and decision-support methods for sustainable energy systems, with a particular focus on energy communities.
Within this context, the following contributions were presented:
Bruno Domenech presented the paper “An Ad-Hoc Matheuristic to Solve the Operation Problem in Energy Communities”, focused on the development of optimization methodologies for the operational management of energy communities.
Andrés Muggi presented the paper “A 24-Hour Global Reference Model to Compare Full-Day and Time-Restricted Residential Load Profiles”, focused on the analysis of residential electricity consumption patterns.
Participation in SMARTGREENS 2026 strengthens the international visibility of the DOPS-UPC research group and reinforces its contribution to the development of optimization-based solutions for more sustainable energy systems.
See you at the next conference!
